Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
Saturday 10am ET
Liverpool have looked back to their best in the early stages of their 2021-22 campaign, undefeated through four matches which includes three wins. Last time out in the Premier League they made very light work of Leeds despite being the visiting team, defeating them 3-0 in a clinical performance.
Crystal Palace tasted success for the first time in their fresh campaign with a 3-0 home win over Tottenham last weekend. Sparked by a Spurs red card in the second half, Palace were able to capitalise on most of their chances to improve into 11th spot on the league table after a lacklustre first three outings.
When at their best, Crystal Palace can offer a stern challenge to most Premier League sides, but on the road against Liverpool in their current form makes it very hard to build a case for them. We’re expecting another really comfortable win for the Reds and can see them keeping another clean sheet in the process.
West Ham United vs Manchester United
Sunday 9am ET
West Ham have had a couple of disappointing draws against lower ranked sides over the past two weeks, but remain undefeated in the Premier League this season through four fixtures. The Hammers also got their Europa League campaign off to a flying start with an impressive 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb midweek.
All eyes were on Cristiano Ronaldo last weekend in his first game in his second stint with Manchester United. Of course, the Portuguese superstar didn’t disappoint as he claimed a brace to help the Red Devils defeat Newcastle 4-1 at home. United remain on top of the table after four games with three wins and a draw.
United and Ronaldo will be looking to continue their romance this weekend when they travel to West Ham for what looms as a tricky challenge. In saying that, United have had the best start of all 20 sides this season and should be able to net a few goals against what’s been a shaky Hammers outfit in recent weeks.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea
Sunday 11:30am ET
Tottenham had their perfect start to the season come to an end on the road against Crystal Palace last weekend, losing 3-0 after suffering a costly red card near the start of the second half. The only positive to come out of that defeat was superstar striker Harry Kane getting another 90 minutes of play time under his belt.
Chelsea have had a fantastic start to their 2020-21 campaign with three wins and a draw from four outings. They are one of four clubs who remain undefeated after the first month of action and are playing like a team that can definitely contend for the title this season. On another positive note, Romelu Lukaku has made a successful start to his second stint with the Blues, banging in four goals in as many games.
If they were at full strength and not coming off a performance as poor as last weekend’s, then Tottenham would be every chance to claim three points at home against Chelsea. However, that just isn’t the case and as a result, we expect the Blues to make relatively light work of the Spurs.
