EPL Betting Picks 2020-21: Matchday 30

Leicester vs Manchester City

King Power Stadium, Saturday 12:30pm (ET)

The title race has been dead in the water for a while, however the battle for Champions League positions has tightened up as Chelsea begin to gain ground on the Foxes. It doesn’t get any easier for Leicester, with the league leaders coming to town.

City come into the clash with just one loss in their past 22 Premier League games. Not only has City’s form in the league been outstanding, but their record against Leicester in recent times is just as good, winning six of their last eight Premier League matches against Leicester.

The Foxes have an injury list that is piling up, and it eventually has to catch up with them. The attacking firepower that City possess is set to give the Foxes plenty of troubles. Gabriel Jesus, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan will be just too much for Leicester to cope with, and if they score early, the Foxes just don’t have the firepower to get in a shootout with the league leaders. Expect City to continue their excellent run of form against Leicester.

Arsenal vs Liverpool

Emirates Stadium, Saturday 3:00pm (ET)

Another big clash in the jostling for European positions as Liverpool and Arsenal look to work their way back up the table after disappointing seasons so far. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last four games in the league, while Liverpool has lost three of their last five Premier League matches. The Reds are desperate for a win to keep their Europa League hopes alive.

Arsenal have gained some serious momentum over the past few weeks, and a spot in the Europa League doesn’t look out of the realms of possibility just yet. Liverpool’s inability to score of late has been a massive concern, scoring just five goals in their last eight Premier League games. It has been a remarkable fall from grace for the side who steamrolled to the Premier League title last season. Arsenal’s record against Liverpool of late will have the Gunners full of confidence, winning three of their last four games against the Reds in all competitions.

Arsenal will be looking to Alexandre Lacazette to produce the goods again. The Frenchman has three goals from his last four league matches, and will be the key for Arsenal. With Liverpool’s recent struggles in front of goal, Arsenal will be confident that they can cause an upset, they’ve played some inspired football recently, and you can expect them to produce again on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United vs Brighton

Old Trafford, Sunday 2:30pm (ET)

It’s 2nd vs 16th as Brighton travels to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United. After a slight plateau in form, the Red Devils have gotten back on track with consecutive wins over West Ham and Manchester City. Brighton come into the match on the back of wins over Newcastle and Southampton, but they won’t be taking too much stock out of those victories.

United will be full of confidence coming into this clash, winning their last four Premier League matches against Brighton, including a remarkable 3-2 win earlier in the season. The Red Devils have shored up their defence which had been an issue for them earlier in the season, they’ve conceded just two goals in their last six league matches.

If United get their attacking game going early, it’s hard to see Brighton being able to go with them for 90 minutes. The Red Devils need to keep winning to keep their firm hold on second place, with a logjam of teams from fourth to seventh chasing them. United are back in form and with the way they are defending, they shouldn’t have any troubles defeating Brighton.
