We were very unlucky not to go 3/3 with our best picks in Matchday 13, with Liverpool’s Bobby Firmino denying our Spurs Double Chance play right at the death.
We now turn our attention to the upcoming Matchday 14, which includes a full 10-match slate that kicks off this weekend. Check out our three best plays for the round below and good luck if following!
EPL Matchday 14 Betting Picks
Everton vs Arsenal
Saturday, 12:30pm ET
Everton have had a rollercoaster season and we’re only a third of the way in. They began in hot form with wins in their opening four league fixtures, before going on a run of seven matches where they saluted just once. The Toffees have returned to form in their last two outings however, defeating quality outfits in Chelsea and Leicester on the spin.
Like their opponents, Arsenal started the season off in fine form with three wins from their first four league fixtures. Since then however, it’s been nothing but disappointment for Gunners fans. They’re an atrocious 0-2-4 from their past six matches and come into this weekend sitting in 15th spot on the table.
Everton are back in business and looking like a team that could certainly finish in a top six spot this season. They have a deadly attack and will be causing an out-of-form Arsenal unit plenty of problems on Saturday. We’re loving the odds of the Toffees claiming all three points on their home deck in this one.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City
Sunday, 9:15am ET
Tottenham came desperately close to claiming a valuable away point against Liverpool in their midweek battle, but unfortunately lost it at the death after conceding a cheap corner. That loss put an end to a then league-best 11-match unbeaten streak, which has the Spurs sitting second on the table.
Leicester City had their two-match winning streak snapped midweek by Everton. It’s been an up and down season for the Foxes this campaign as they’ve either won or lost their 13 matches to date (8-0-5 record). The Foxes enter this weekend sitting nicely in fourth spot on the table.
Both teams have done enough to enter this fixture in the top four, so we’re expecting a high quality match on Sunday morning. Of the two, Tottenham are the form team and their chances of winning only increase by being on their home deck. They’ve enjoyed great success against Leicester in recent campaigns (won 4 of last 5) and we’re expecting them to extend their dominance with another win in this one.
Burnley vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Monday, 12:30pm ET
Burnley can consider themselves extremely fortunate to claim a point from their midweek fixture against Aston Villa. They lost all major statistics but were kept in the game by Nick Pope and plenty of luck. The Clarets have now claimed points in four of their past five league matches, which is a big improvement on their early season form.
Wolves snapped a mini two-match losing streak with a very important three points against Chelsea midweek. It hasn’t quite been the start that the Wolves were hoping for as they come into this round in 10th on the table; however, most of the so called ‘top six’ have been dropping points with regularity, which means the Wolves are just four points off the top four and eight points off top spot.
Burnley have been getting some results from recent fixtures but they haven’t necessarily played that well. On the other hand, Wolves were fantastic against Chelsea midweek and as long as they can play somewhere close to that level, then we have them winning this fixture pretty comfortably.
