Matchday 13 & 14 in the EPL will both be played out over the next week, with the former round getting underway on Tuesday and concluding on Thursday before the latter kicks off on Friday! It’s an absolute smorgasbord of soccer action and we will have you covered with best bets for all of the action, starting with the MD13 key games below.
EPL Matchday 13 Betting Picks
Wolverhampton vs Chelsea
Tuesday 1.00pm (ET)
Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 1-0 loss in Everton this week when they face off against Wolverhamton from 1pm on Tuesday. With the loss, the Blues slipped just outside of the top four, but given the closeness of the EPL season to date, they sit just three points behind Tottenham and Liverpool at the top of the table.
The Wolves have lost their last two games in a row and sit in 13th place on the table. Their loss in Week 12 was an unfortunate one. After controlling the majority of the game, they allowed a 94th minute winner to Aston Villa to lose 1-0.
The Wolves and Blues have a history of playing in high scoring games dating back to a 6-0 Chelsea win back in 2012. In their last six games, they have averaged 3.66 goals per game, including a 5-2 shooutout win for Chelsea in the Premier League last season. With 25, Chelsea have scored the most goals in the EPL this season outside of Liverpool. Back this one to be another high scoring game.
Leicester City vs Everton
Wednesday 1.00pm (ET)
A great matchup here between two of the top sides in the competition. Everton got off to a hot start this season, winning their first four games of the year. Since then, however, they are just 2-2-4 but are coming off a momentum swinging win over the Blues at home. They sit in 7th place on the table but are just five points behind the table leaders.
Leicester City have won their last two games in a row and have jumped into the top three subsequently. They now sit just one point behind Liverpool and Tottenham and could leapfrog one or both given those two teams play each-other in Matchday 13. The Foxes are coming off wins against Sheffield United and Brighton in the EPL as well as a 2-0 win over AEK Athens in the Europa League which saw them qualify for the knockout stage.
These two teams are really evenly matched in our book and we think this is going to be a hotly contested battle. So often when this is the case the game is a low scoring affair. Back this to be 1-0 either way or a 1-1 draw.
Liverpool vs Tottenham
Wednesday 3.00pm (ET)
The game of the round sees Liverpool hosting Tottenham on Wednesday afternoon. The two teams are locked at the top of the EPL table with 25 points apiece, Tottenham holding the advantage in goal difference by a margin of five goals.
Liverpool have had the wood over Tottenham in recent history, winning their last five games against the Spurs including the famous Champions League final a few years ago. This time around, however, they will be without a bunch of their key players inAlcantara, Gomez, Jota, Milner, Shaquiri, Tsimikas and van Dijk, with Keita and Matip also listed as questionable.
The Spurs will be near full strength, with only Erik Lamela set to be out and Gareth Bale listed as questionable through illness. If there’s ever a situation to bet against the Reds, it could be here, going up against the in-form team in the competition with a bunch of key players out. Back the Spurs with the double chance here.
