EPL Matchday 36 Betting Tips
Chelsea vs Norwich City
Stamford Bridge, Tuesday 3:15pm (ET)
Chelsea were embarrassed last time out against Sheffield United (3-0 L) and will be desperate to make amends at the first possible opportunity, which just so happens to be against the recently relegated Norwich City.
Norwich got their Premier League campaign off to a decent start with a couple of early wins, but to say it went downhill from there would be a huge understatement. The Canaries come into this match on a seven game losing streak where they’ve kicked one goal and conceded 16.
Although Chelsea were thoroughly beaten by the Blades on the weekend, the stakes are simply too high for them not to bounce back in a big way here. With a top 4 finish on the line, expect the Blues to blow the Canaries out of the water.
Arsenal vs Liverpool
Emirates Stadium, Wednesday 3:15pm (ET)
Arsenal fans have endured another bitterly disappointing season and things went from bad to worse for them on the weekend. They were defeated by arch rivals Tottenham (2-1 L) and are now winless against them in their past four meetings.
Liverpool were unable to secure win #31 on the weekend when they drew with Burnley, taking their post-hiatus record to 3-2-1. They’ve secured maximum points in 3/6 games post-covid19 compared to 27/29 pre-covid19.
Liverpool haven’t quite been at their brilliant best since play resumed but they should still be too good for the Gunners this matchup. There should be goals galore as well if this fixture’s history is anything to go by (4+ goals scored in 8 of last 9 meetings), so the overs looks a fantastic play.
Crystal Palace vs Manchester United
Selhurst Park, Thursday 3:15pm (ET)
Crystal Palace look to have put the cue in the rack for season 2019-20 – content with a mid-table (or there abouts) finish. They’ve lost five on the spin coming into this clash with United and have only found the back of the net in one of those five losses.
Manchester United conceded a 96th minute equaliser against Southampton on the weekend, which kept them from leaping into third spot on the table. They can consider themselves very unlucky not to grab all three points, particularly when you consider some of the challenges that Saints’ players got away with.
Despite the disappointment last time out, the Red Devils are clearly the better team in this matchup and have form well and truly on their side. They’re on an 18 game unbeaten run in all competitions and we expect them to extend that with a big win at Selhurst Park.
