Manchester City vs Chelsea

the game of the round and the one we’re going to be attacking with our best pick is Manchester City vs Chelsea. This is the first of two meetings in the league this season and will kick off at around 12:30pm Eastern Time at the famous Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City will be looking to bounce back from a very disappointing loss away to Liverpool before the break. It was the most highly-anticipated league fixture since they met last season and it didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately for the defending champs, they came out of it on the wrong end of a 3-1 score line and have dropped down to fourth on the table as a result. The Citizens will be hoping that the two weeks off will breath a bit of life back into what’s been a disappointing campaign thus far.

Chelsea got their season off to a very shaky start with just two wins from their first six league games. However, they’ve found some fantastic form since to all six EPL games to rise up to third spot on the ladder. The Blues strength has undoubtedly been their attack, which has seen them bang in 12 goals from their last four games in major competitions.

This should be an excellent game in which both sides will have their fair share of opportunities to win. Manchester City have scored a league-high 19 goals from six home games this season and Chelsea have scored a league-high 18 goals from six away games this season, which obviously hints that there will be plenty of goals in this one. We’re keen to back the stats in here and take the odds available for there to be over 3.5 goals.

Sheffield United vs Manchester United 

Bramall Lane, Sunday 11:30am ET

The value of the round looks to be in the Sunday fixture between Sheffield United and Manchester United. This is the first time these clubs have met in England’s top flight in over 10 years, so it should be an intriguing encounter at Bramall Lane. Sheffield United have been fantastic so far this season and currently sit in fifth spot, while the Red Devils inconsistent season has them placed a few spots down in seventh. United have been poor on the road with just one win from six attempts and won’t find it any easier against a stingy Sheffield defence that have conceded just nine goals in 12 fixtures, which is the best mark in the league. We feel that the Blades sneaky good start to the season is yet to earn them proper respect from the bookmakers and we see no reason why they can’t win at home at huge odds.
