Unfortunately our streak came to an end last weekend with our EPL best pick coming up short. We were quite confident that the Red Devils would make light work of the Saints at Old Trafford in Match Day 29, but they only managed to record a one goal win instead of the 2+ we anticipated. As disappointing as that was, we’re confident we can bounce back in Match Day 30 with another value play. See our best pick below and good luck to everyone following!
Best Pick: EPL Match Day 30
Liverpool vs Burnley (Sunday 7am ET)
Our best pick from this weekends EPL slate comes from the high stakes game at Anfield where Liverpool will host Burnley. This important Match Day 30 fixture kicks off early Sunday morning (7am Eastern Time). Below you’ll find all the important statistics for the match, as well as our expect analysis and recommended betting pick.
Last time they played
The Reds have won the last two fixtures against the Clarets, with the most recent one being on December 5th at Turf Moor in Burnley. The visiting Reds went one goal behind in the 54th minute in that match, but were able to recover quickly and bang in three of their own (62′, 69′, 90+1′) to secure all three points on the road. Below are all the important statistics from that fixture.
Liverpool come into this off a disappointing nil all draw away to Everton last time out. It was another game that featured a strong Reds defense, but a wasteful and out of sorts attack. That draw was also their fourth in their last six games in what has been a humbling stretch for Jurgen Klopp’s men. Despite recent struggles, Liverpool can close to within one point of league leaders Manchester City with a win at home here.
Burnley, on the other hand, find themselves in a different type of battle to that of the Reds. Relegation is still a very real possibility for the Clarets, as they sit just five points out of the drop zone with still nine games to play. One area they will definitely need to improve on is their play away from home, where they’ve managed just three wins from 15 fixtures this season.
This fixture features the second best home team in Liverpool (12-2-0 record) coming up against the 16th best away team in Burnley (3-4-8). Obviously, the task at hand for Burnley seems almost impossible, which the bookies agree with by starting the Reds at very short odds. However, we believe they’ve left some serious meat on the bone in the ‘Liverpool Win to Nil’ market, which we’re more than happy to recommend a play on. The Reds haven’t conceded a single goal in their last four matches and have let in just seven goals from 14 starts at home this season. We expect this trend to continue on Sunday morning.
