We were very unlucky not to get the win midweek with Match Day 15. Arsenal took the lead on two occasions against the Red Devils and threatened on many occasions to go ahead for a third time. However, it wasn’t to be and we had to settle for our money back from the Draw No Bet market. We now shift our focus to this weekend’s fixtures and present our best bet + favourite picks from other games from Match Day 16. Good luck to everyone following!
Best Bet EPL Match Day 16
Chelsea vs Manchester City (Saturday 12:30pm ET)
Our best bet for Match Day 16 of the 2018-19 English Premier League season comes from the blockbuster battle between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 12:30pm (ET). This will be the first of two match-ups between these old rivals this season. In 2017-18, Manchester City won both games by 1-0 to nil against the Blues.
Chelsea started off the season in tremendous form and were one of three teams undefeated in the league after 12 games. However, they have since lost two of their last three games, with losses coming against Tottenham and most recently Wolverhampton. The Blues have now dropped down to fourth position on the table and find themselves 10 points behind league leaders, Manchester City.
After winning the Premier League in record style last season, Manchester City have continued to dominant and once again find themselves on top of the table after 15 games. They’re yet to lose and have only dropped points on two occasions this season, which came from draws against Wolverhampton and second placed Liverpool.
Initially, we were looking closely at the Under 2.5 goals market for this game. None of the previous three meetings have eclipsed that tally and both of last season’s games were 1-0 wins to Manchester City. In recent times, Chelsea have gone in with a really defensive mindset and actually look like they’re playing for a 0-0 draw at times. However, with Sarri in charge we aren’t sure what methods he will employ against the defending champions this season, so we’ve opted to avoid a play on that market.
We eventually decided that the near even odds for a Manchester City win here is just too good to refuse. I mean, we’re talking about arguably the best and most dominant Premier League we’ve ever seen. Dating back to the start of last season, City have won 45 of their 53 Premier League matches. We can’t say no to -110 here.
