TaylorMade Driving Relief Skins Betting Picks

Golf fans have been starved of action for the last few months after the PGA Tour was put on hold amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Those fans will get a small respite this weekend, however, as the TaylorMade Driving Relief skins match takes centre stage.

Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson will face off against Rickie Fowler and Matthew Wolff in the match, which is predominantly a fundraiser for charity.

Regardless of what’s on the line for the players, there are still plenty of betting markets for the event, and we have a full preview and picks below.

Hole 17: $200,000

Betting Picks

Picking a winner for this event couldn’t be much harder. The winner will be determined by who makes more money throughout the day, and with the latter holes earning more, one team could dominate play throughout the day only to lose the last few holes.

There is also the fact that these guys haven’t played a serious round of golf in nearly two months now. Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy start as firm favourites to win, however, we have some real questions over DJ’s preparation. Reports say that he picked up a golf club for the first time since the Players Championship was cancelled back in March just four days ago.

With a few question marks over DJ’s game at the moment, we think there is real value in the underdogs here , especially given that they might only need to take out the 17th and 18th hole to win the whole day.

Matthew Wolff will have never had this many eyes on him, so he will be super keen to impress while Rickie Fowler is a fan favourite and always brings a good attitude. Back the underdogs to get the job done here at good odds.
