NFL Week 3 Monday Night Betting Picks
Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens
Monday 28th September, M&T Bank Stadium, 8.20pm (ET)
The Chiefs were fantastic in Week 1 with a dominant win over the Texans. They definitely weren’t as strong in Week 2, travelling to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers and securing a three point win on the back of a final second field goal.
Patrick Mahomes has been strong in both games so far, throwing for an average of 256.2 yards per game and five touchdowns with zero interceptions. As long as Mahomes is in the game, you have to feel like the Chiefs offense is capable of coming back from any deficit.
Mahomes hasn’t thrown an interception so far this season and we don’t think that changes on Monday night in what should be a pretty fast paced game up and down the field. Back Mahomes to take his streak of games without an interception to three.
The Ravens have looked like the strongest team in the AFC throughout the first two weeks of the season. They blew out the Browns by 32 points in Week 1 before handling the Texans comfortably by 17 poitns in Week 2.
Lamar Jackson is mounting his casse for back to back MVP awards, starting the season with an impressive 239.5 passing yards per game to go with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. he has led one of the most dominant offenses in the league at 35.5 point per game, and Monday night looks like its going to be another high scoring clash.
The Chiefs have let teams move the ball quite easily on offense this season, allowing the fifth most total yards of any team at 419.5 per game. Back Lamar Jackson to go over on passing yards on Monday night.
The Ravens start as slight 3 point favorites, and taking into account the standard home field advantage, that line means the bookmakers have these two teams dead even. We are finding it tough to split them, the Ravens have looked the better side but the Chiefs are more proven in big games.
Hard to separate these two teams one way or another but we do like the look of the over. This has the making of an absolute shootout on Monday Night Football in good weather.
