There are now just four days of NBA regular season action remaining before we get stuck into the playoffs!
On Monday we went 2/3 on our best picks and we’ll be looking to continue our winning way on Tuesday. Check out our best picks for the upcoming seven game slate below!
NBA Picks Tuesday, August 11th
Phoenix Suns at Philadelphia 76ers
The Suns continue to roll and are now an amazing 6-0 in the bubble. They found themselves down by double digits against the Thunder in the first quarter on Monday but managed to restore order and cruise to a very easy win.
The Sixers are decimated by injuries at the moment and are without both of their All-Stars in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. They lost a close one to the Blazers last time out and unfortunately look like they’ll just be making up the numbers in the playoffs.
Every game is a must-win for the Suns at the moment and they’re standing up to the challenge. They’ve got more respect by the bookies this time out with a -8 start, but we still see them covering the spread here.
Boston Celtics at Memphis Grizzlies
The Celtics are destined to finish in the third seed in the East which will gift them the easy Round 1 win over the Sixers in the playoffs. It may seem like they have nothing to play for being three games clear of fourth, but their stars haven’t had many minutes together and Brad Stevens will likely play them to get some continuity ahead of the playoffs.
The Grizzlies have been decimated by injuries and are now fighting to hold the eighth seed in the West. The likes of Ja Morant and Dylan Brooks are trying their best to keep them aflout, but it seems they’re just out of their depth at the moment.
Although this is pretty much a must-win for the Grizzlies, the Celtics should be able to handle their business here. Their defense was incredible against the red-hot Raptors recently and as long as they bring an intensity close to that, then they’ll be far too good.
Portland Trail Blazers at Dallas Mavericks
The Trail Blazers are another one of the real form teams in the competition at the moment and find themselves in a really good position to pinch the eighth seed from the Grizzlies. Dame Lillard is putting in MVP like numbers night after night to give his team the best possible chance to make the playoffs.
The Mavericks opted to rest both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis against the Jazz but still managed to get the chocolates. The Mavs look locked in the seventh seed in the West, so its unlikely they’ll play their key guys big minutes in their remaining seeding games.
The Trail Blazers simple must win this game and we expect them to do exactly that. Their wins certainly haven’t been in convincing fashion of late but they look the goods against a resting Mavs line-up here.
