The Nuggets bounced back from a disappointing loss in Game 2 to recapture homecourt advantage with a win in Game 3. This sets up a mouth-watering contest on Friday with the implications for a win either way being massive.

The Nuggets didn’t do much wrong on Wednesday night. They got on top in the first half before exploding in the third quarter, which gave them a sizeable lead that they were able to manage the rest of the way before finishing up 15-point winners.

Nikola Jokic was massive again in the win and posted a 30-20-10 triple-double – becoming the first ever player to post such a stat line in the NBA Finals. His partner in crime, Jamal Murray also had a 30-point triple-double and was spectacular throughout the game with his shot making.

Meanwhile, Bam Adebayo had another great game with 22 points and 17 rebounds. He now has three straight games of 20+ points in the Finals. Jimmy Butler also had his best scoring night of the Finals with 28 points, but will need to increase his efficiency going forward.

Looking ahead to Game 4 in Miami and it’s difficult to see how the Heat can bounce back. They haven’t done too many things wrong in the series to date, but the Nuggets just have the better talent, led by the 2x MVP who’s just playing at a different level to the rest.

The Nuggets are the deserving favorites in Game 4 on Friday night and I’d be surprised if they don’t win and cover the small spread.
