Home court advantage in the NBA Finals was flipped in Game 2, with the Miami Heat winning in Denver and levelling the series at 1-1. The series now heads to Miami for the next two games where they’ll have an opportunity to cash in and take a commanding lead.

Game 2 was won on the back of a spirited fourth quarter comeback by the Heat. They went into the final frame trailing by eight points but managed to turn that deficit into a lead in the space of three minutes. They managed to managed the rest of the game from that point forward and come away with an invaluable road win.

Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler both led the team in scoring with 21 points apiece, although the former was a lot more effective and efficient with his shooting. Adebayo has now been the Heat’s best player in both games and is putting together a great finals series.

The Nuggets got another monster performance out of Nikola Jokic in Game 2. The 2x MVP dropped a 40-point double-double and was spectacularly efficient from the field (16-28 fg). However, he also had a playoff-low four assists, which was mostly due to the poor shooting nights the rest of the key Nuggets players had.

Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. combined for only 23 points in Game 2, and could only connect on 4/14 of their three-point attempts. You can expect a better showing from that duo on Wednesday night, which puts the Nuggets right back on the front foot.

As long as the Joker gets some resemblance of help in Miami, I expect the Nuggets to be able to bounce back with a win in Game 3.
