NBA Betting Picks: Friday, February 19th

Golden State Warriors at Orlando Magic

Amway Center, 11pm ET
The Warriors are on a roll with four wins in their last five and were last time winners against an in-form Heat unit in overtime. Steph Curry is putting up numbers reminiscent of his second MVP year and the whole team is following suit. The Warriors enter Friday night with a 16-13 record, which is good enough for seventh in the Western Conference.
The Magic got off to the hottest of hot starts with four wins in as many games, but that’s when injuries struck. They were already missing Jonathan Isaac via an ACL and unfortunately added Markelle Fultz to that list. The Magic have gone on to lost 16 of their last 23 games and look like they’ll be on the outside looking in when playoff time rolls around.
The Warriors are by far the stronger teams of these two when fit and the injuries to Magic only increase the visiting sides chances. We expect Steph and co. to have their way and notch up win #17 in emphatic fashion.

Atlanta Hawks at Boston Celtics

TD Garden, 7:30pm ET
The Hawks would’ve been relieved to snatch a win against the Celtics last time out after winning just one of seven games prior. They won in great fashion however, with Clint Capela dropping 24 points and collecting 13 rebounds en route. The Hawks moved to 12-16 via the win, which has them placed 10th in the East.
The Celtics will be ruing their terrible second quarter against the Hawks and will be desperate to put in a better first half showing here. Their two superstars in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are expected to play, while Kemba Walker is slated to return. The Celtics have underwhelmed thus far and their 14-14 record illustrates that.
These clubs met just a couple of days ago and it was the Hawks who got the better of the undermanned Celtics on that occasion. With Walker expected to return and Coach Stevens obviously making some adjustments, we have the Celtics getting back to work with a big revenge win here.

Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Clippers

Staples Center, 10pm ET
The Jazz are in some very strange form, and when we say strange we mean it in the best of possible ways. This club has won nine streak and 19 of their past 20 games, which is absolutely nuts. Last time out they were very comfortable winners against the Clippers, whom they face in this matchup.
The Clippers got off to a very hot start this season but again they’ve had injury problems with their superstars in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. The Clippers roster have handled their absence well to get them to a very nice record of 21-9, but they’ll certainly need to build some chemistry as a squad going forward.
We mentioned above that the Jazz were too good when they faced the Clippers a couple of days ago at Staples Center and there’s no reason why that won’t be the case again. Even in the Clipper welcome back one, if not both their superstars, their chemistry won’t be able to match that of the Jazz. simply put, it’s impossible to bet against the Jazz at the moment and we certainly won’t be doing that here.
