Leicester City vs Liverpool
King Power Stadium, Saturday 7:30am (ET)
The defending champions are in a major form slump and their title defence looks all but over as they fell ten points behind Manchester City after a 4-1 loss to the league leaders last week. They travel to the King Power Stadium to take on a Leicester side that has been a quality outfit this season, sitting third on the table.
Leicester has only lost one of its last nine games, they’re an incredibly disciplined side that just finds a way to grind out games. Liverpool have lost their last two games and more concerningly has losses against Southampton, Burnley and Brighton this calendar year. With Liverpool’s undermanned defence in tatters, Jamie Vardy will be confident he can add to his current tally of 11 goals, which has him seventh on the top goal scorers list. Whilst the Foxes have been good in attack their defence has been resolute, conceding two goals in their last six league matches.
Keeper Kasper Schmeichel has been in great form, with nine clean sheets to his name this season, the fourth most in the Premier League. Liverpool have struggled to score since the new year, and coming up against a well oiled machine in Leicester City, they won’t find it easy at all. The defending champs are out of form and you can expect the Foxes to capitalise on that and pick up a crucial victory.
Manchester City vs Tottenham
Etihad Stadium, Tuesday 12:30pm (ET)
Manchester City take on Tottenham in a big game for both clubs. City will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table, whilst Tottenham need a win to get back into the race for a top four spot after falling to eighth on the table. City are in sizzling form winning their last fifteen games in all competitions, including ten consecutive wins in the Premier League.
They same cannot be said for Tottenham’s form, having lost three of their last four league games to fall to eight place on the Premier League table. Tottenham’s defence has been in tatters recently, conceding five goals against Everton during the week in the FA Cup.
Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has starred for City, scoring nine goals and picking up one assist in his last eleven Premier League matches. City’s John Stones and Ruben Dias have been an incredible duo in central defence, with the league leaders conceding just three goals in their last eleven games. City are in red hot form, and you can expect the winning streak to continue.
Everton vs Fulham
Goodison Park, Sunday 2pm (ET)
Fulham travel to Goodison Park looking to break a run of thirteen league games without a win. Everton have been in good form of late, going unbeaten in seven of their last ten Premier League matches. The Toffees will be riding high after a thrilling 5-4 FA Cup win over Tottenham during the week. While Everton have been exciting in attack this season, Fulham have struggled to score, scoring a measly 17 goals from 22 games.
Everton have been in good scoring form across their last two games, and will give the struggling Fulham defence some serious headaches. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be full of confidence coming into this match after he scored a brace against Fulham in Everton’s 3-2 victory when the two sides met back in November.
The two sides are at near polar opposites on the table, with Everton looking set to finish in the top five whilst Fulham look destined to be relegated, sitting eight points adrift of seventeenth place on the table. With the likes of Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin and James Rodriguez Everton have far too much attacking firepower for Fulham to handle, they won’t have any troubles getting past their relegation bound opponents.
