NFL Week 15 Betting Tips

The Patriots are absolutely rolling at the moment. They have won their last seven games on the spin and are coming off a massive win over the Buffalo Bills which saw them take a nice lead in the AFC East division. They had their bye in Week 14, which means they have had a full 13 days to prepare for this road clash against the Colts on Saturday night.

The Colts had a dominant 31-0 victory over the Texans in Week 13 and will also be coming off their bye week. They are two games back in the AFC South, but are right in the mix for the wildcard spots, especially if they can pick up a home victory here. The Colts have been better on the road than they have been at home this season, maintaining just a 3-4 record both straight up and against the spread at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Pats are 6-0 on the road, straight up the season and a conference best 5-1 against the spread away from home. Was surprised to see the Patriots start as underdogs given their away record this year, happy to take the points on offer with them here.

Sunday December 19th, 8.20pm (ET)

Great matchup for Sunday Night Football as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Saints from 8.20pm. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers have been dominant at home this season. They are a perfect 6-0 straight up at Raymond James Stadium and 5-1 against the spread. They are coming off a great six point win over the Bills in Week 14, and a win here would go a long way to securing the No.1 seed in the NFC given they have two games against the Panthers and one against the Jets in their last three weeks.

The Saints are 6-7 on the season so far. The NFC South is well out of their reach, but they are still slightly in the mix for a wildcard spot in the NFC. They’ll likely need to go 3-1 or better in their last four, but that’s not out of the question given they have winnable games over the Dolphins, Panthers and Falcons to come.

10.5 is a lot of points here, especially with so much on the line for the Saints. They captured a win over the Buccs earlier in the season. I think the Buccs win this one, but I’m not super keen on them to cover the 10.5 points. I like the over instead. When they played in Week 7, they put up a combined 63 points.

Monday December 20th, 8.20pm (ET)

Bit of a lacklustre game to round out Week 15 on Monday night but at least it has some playoffs conotations as the Vikings fight for a wildcard spot in the NFC. They are comign off a shaky win over the Steelers in Week 14 which saw them almost squander a 22 point lead in the final quarter. They were able to hold on and move to 6-7 on the season, and they have a tough stretch of games to come, with clashes against the Rams and Packers sandwhiched by two games against the Bears.

The Bears have been a bit of a rabble of late. They have lost seven of their last eight games, and have also only covered in one of those games. They went down by 15 points to the Packers in Week 14 to send them to 4-9 and put the icing on their season.

Like the Vikings here. They just have so much more on the line and the hungry dog mentality has been a good one to abide by this season. Even on the road, I expect them to cover teh 3.5 point line, which they did the last time they travelled to Chicago.
