2021-22 NFL Week 14 Betting Picks

The NFL regular season is fast approaching it’s climax and Week 14 boasts a great slate of games headlined by some blockbuster clashes. As always, we have you covered with betting picks for every game below.

NFL Week 14 Betting Picks

Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings had the unfortunate privilege of becoming the first team in the 2021-22 season to lose to the Detroit Lions on the weekend as they went down 29-27 on the road. They will be back at home this week, attempting to bounce back from a two game losing skid. They are currently 5-7 and have two tough games against the Packers and Rams on the run home, they’ll likely need to win one of those plus all three against the Steelers, Bears and Bears again to make the playoffs.

The Steelers are currently 6-5 and are trying to send veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger out on a high note with one final playoff appearance. They are coming off a solid 33-18 win over the Jets on the weekend and have covered the spread in three of their last four games. The last time these two teams met was all the way back in 2017, when the Steelers recorded a dominant 26-9 win.

I like the old adage of the hungry dog for this one. The Steelers are coming off a win while the Vikings are coming off arguably the most disappointing loss of the season by any team. The Vikings have a fairly healthy looking unit at the moment and start this game as just three point favourites. With much more to play for, I think the Vikings cover the spread at home here.

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers

Sunday night football will see an old rivalry get another instalment as the Packers host the Bears from 8.20pm. The Packers have been one of the best teams in the NFL this season, racking up a 9-3 record straight up and a league best 10-2 record against the spread. They have really been putting teams to the sword and they are coming off an impressive eight point win at home against the Rams on the weekend.

The same success certainly hasn’t been enjoyed by the Chicago Bears. They are just 4-8 straight up and a dismal 4-8 against the spread. They are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games, including games against the likes of Detroit. The Bears have not defeated the Packers since all the way back in 2018 and haven’t won at Lambeau Field since 2015.

13.5 was the line that I would have been comfortable backing the Packers up to here, so I was pleased to see that it had opened at 12.5. Their offence seems to be back to it’s dominant ways, putting up 31 and 36 the last two weeks. I’m not sure how the Bears can keep up with that, I expect the Packers to score 30+ here and the Bears to score under 20.

LA Rams

LA Rams at Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinal train keeps rolling on, picking up wins in their last two games to move to a league best 10-2 record. They are, however, 3-2 at home and a perfect 7-0 on the road, which is interesting heading into the home clash against the Rams on Monday night football. They are 9-3 against the spread but once again, they have covered in just two of five games at home where they have often been big favourites.

The Rams are 8-4 on the season and a win here would put them right back in the hunt for the NFC West title. A loss, on the other hand, would see them fall three games behind the Cardinals and re-enter the race for the NFC Wildcard positions, an unviable position to say the least. They have failed to cover the spread in five of their last six games, and have an average 5-7 record ATS this season.

The Cardinals start as slight 2.5 point favourites but I can’t say I like that line one way or another in a game that I think could go either way. I do like the overs though. Three of the last four between these two sides have resulted in at least 55 points, while their combined points scored this game is 56.8.
