The Celtics got off the mark quickly against the Warriors in Game 3, but their momentum didn’t last long as the Warriors finished up the first half with a narrow lead. The game changed dramatically in the third quarter when the home side outscored the Celtics 35-14, which proved to be the deciding factor in the contest. That win ties up the series at 1-1 before heading to Boston for Games 3 and 4.

It was the usual suspect in Steph Curry who led the way for the Warriors again in Game 2, posting 29 points to back up 34 in Game 1. Again, his fellow Splash Brother in Klay Thompson struggled to find his shot, but it mattered little as the emerging star that is Jordan Poole chimed in with 17 points of his own. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum found his stroke with 28 points, but Jaylen Brown and Al Horford both struggled after lighting up Game 1.

Once again, there are no serious injuries to report as we look forward towards Game 3. Warriors’ trio of Andre Igoudala, Gary Payton II and Otto Porter are all still battling slight niggles but are expected to suit up on Wednesday night, as is Celtics big-man Robert Williams who’s an important piece on the defensive end.

The Celtics did their job on the road by getting the split in the Bay and will be confident they can go ahead in the series again with a win in Game 3. They will start as the narrow favorites with the bookies and deservedly so in my opinion. They went away from what worked in Game 2 and played too much iso ball on offense, which is suspect won’t be the case on their home deck in front of a raucous crowd. The Celtics will make the necessary adjustments and should be able to come away with a good win.
