2019-20 NBA Western Conference Futures

We’ll kick things off with our pick to win the Western Conference before moving on to a couple of other interesting plays that we see as value. If you have any queries to our selections, feel free to hit us up on Twitter @TotalSportsPick.

Western Conference Championship

Welcome to the new-age NBA, where superstars change teams as often as they change their bed sheets. Well, probably not that often but you get what we’re saying. Movement in the Western Conference has been no exception, with the likes of Durant, Westbrook, Paul, Davis etc all moving cities.

Our best pick for the Western Conference Championship for the 2019-20 season is none other than the Clippers. They arguably had the best off-season in terms of recruitment of any team we’ve seen. They added two certified top 10 players in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard who are absolute monsters on both sides of the ball. Add in the defensive presence of Patrick Beverley, the scoring of Lou Williams, and the promising front-court of Harrell and Zubac, and you’ve got yourself a definite contender.

Best Pick: Los Angeles Clippers +200 888sport

Now for our Value pick. If you’re looking for a second team to make on play on to cover the Clippers, then look no further than the Houston Rockets. They’ve been so close in the past two seasons but injuries to Chris Paul in crucial periods have really hurt them. However, they made the big move in the off-season to acquire former MVP Russell Westrbook in exchange for Paul, which is a move that definitely keeps them right in the mix. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if they’re the team holding the trophy at season’s end.

Player Prop

Our best player prob from the Western Conference will involve this year’s number one pick, Zion Williamson. This isn’t a knock on his ability at all, we just don’t think his rebounding numbers will be 9+ at season’s end. We expect he will play most of his time at the 3 where he can use his athleticism and size to his team’s advantage, which will see him play out on the perimeter a lot more than his college days. There’s no reason why he won’t live up to the hype and become the rookie of the year, but we’re more than happy to take his unders for season rebounds.

Zion Williamson Under 8.5 Season Rebounds Average -110 Fanduel
