Week 10 of the NFL season offers a fantastic 11 game slate on Sunday, headlined by some massive matchups with playoff implications. There are seven games in the early time-slot, followed by three afternoon matchups with the Vikings and Cowboys set to headline the slate on Sunday Night Football.
As usual, we take a look at some of the best value games on throughout the day as well as give our picks for EVERY match on Sunday below. We have a healthy winning record in the season so far and will be looking to keep the momentum going. You can check out our full season record here.
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints (1pm ET)
Our best bet of the Sunday slate in Week 10 sees us heading to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the NFC South clash between the Saints and the Falcons. Atlanta have been one of the more disappointing stories of the NFL season to date, and currently sit in last place in the division with a 1-7 record. Their defense has been dominated this season, allowing 31.3 points per game, the third highest mark in the NFL.
The Saints are on the opposite end of the spectrum despite missing their star quarterback for the majority of the season so far. Much like Andy Dufresne, the Saints crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side, finishing their five game stint without Brees with a 5-0 record and sitting pretty on top of the NFC North division.
It should be smooth sailing from for the 7-1 Saints, who currently hold a two game lead over the Panthers in the division. They are still in a tight race for a top two seed though, so this game will be super important. Can’t see them putting up any less than 30 against an ordinary Falcons defense on Sunday. This has 30-10 written all over it.
- The Falcons are 2-6 ATS this season
- The Saints are 6-2 ATS this season
- The Saints have won by double digits in three of their last four home games against Atlanta
Pick: Saints -12.5 (-110 at SugarHouse)
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals (1pm ET)
The Ravens captured a season defining win in Week 9 as they downed the Patriots on Sunday night football to move to 6-2 on the season. On the back of powerhouse quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Ravens run game has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and they should have an absolute field day against the Bengals defense on Sunday.
Through eight games, the Bengals allow a ridiculous 177.6 rushing yards per game, which is the most in the league. In fact, it’s a full 26.8 yards more than the next ranked team in that category, the Miami Dolphins. After the Dolphins picked up a win in Week 9, the Bengals remain the only winless team in the National Football League, and only a minor miracle will change that in Week 10.
Tough to believe that the Ravens beat up on arguably the best team in football in Week 9 as they defeated the Patriots by 17 points and yet they are only favoured by 10 against a 0-8 Bengals side, albeit on the road. Love this spread.
Pick: Ravens -10 (-110 at SugarHouse)
Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns (1pm ET)
While it might not look like much on paper, this is one of my favourite matchups of the entire Week 10 slate. On one hand, you have a Buffalo Bills team that the bookies refuse to take seriously week in, week out. On the other hand, you have a Cleveland Browns team that the bookies refuse to admit are horrible.
This results in a spread that is way off in my opinion. While the Bills have had a pretty cruisey schedule to date, they have been super impressive and currently hold onto a wildcard spot in the AFC with a 6-2 record. They deserve to be favourites, even on the road, against a Browns team that looks like they are already keen to move on from last years No.1 draft pick Baker Mayfield.
Mayfield has looked like a deer in the headlights at times this year and the Bills have a strong defence with a fairly good pass rush. Happy to take the Bills on the road with a three point headstart here.
Pick: Bills +3 (-115 at SugarHouse)
