We extended our best bet streak out to three as Trae Young finished with 24 points and four assists to cover his 25.5 Points + Assists line. Our bonus tip of the day also got up comfortably with the Kings defeating the Magic to cover their +4.5 line. We now shift our focus to the seven-game slate on Thursday where we’re confident we can make it four on the spin. Good luck to all following!
Best Best Wednesday November 31st
Utah Jazz at Minnesota Timberwolves (Target Center – 7pm ET)
Thursday’s best play of the day comes from the intriguing Utah Jazz at Minnesota Timberwolves match-up. The Jazz have enjoyed a great start to the season with a 4-2 record and currently sit in seventh position in the Western Conference, while the Timberwolves have stumbled their way to 3-4, which has them in 10th place in the West.
It’s no secret that Utah’s strength is their defence. Last season they were ranked fourth in the NBA for opponent field goal percentage (44.8%) and second in the NBA for opponent two-point field goal percentage (48.7%). In the small six-game sample size we have from this season, their stats are very similar, which shows they’re again committed to being one of best defensive teams in the league.
Meanwhile, over in Minnesota the Jimmy Butler saga continues to drag on. It’s clear that their is dislike among their roster with the lack of communication and urgency being evident in their performances. Karl-Anthony Towns has obviously been effected by the drama, with his numbers taking a significant dip from last season. The bad news for him is he certainly won’t find it any easier on Thursday when he comes up against the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in Rudy Gobert.
The Jazz have had the wood over the Timberwolves in recent times, winning eight of their last 11 encounters, which includes the last two meetings by an average margin of 16 points. The Jazz are a professional outfit and will be licking their lips at the prospect of playing the troubled Timberwolves.
Utah Jazz -2.5 Handicap – $1.90 at Bet365
Ours bonus tip of the day comes from the Denver Nuggets at Chicago Bulls match-up, where we’re confident that the Nuggets win this one by double-digits. The Nuggets have dropped just one game so far this season and have firepower littered throughout their roster. Meanwhile, the Bulls are coming off a humiliating defeat to the Warriors, where they gave up an enormous 92 points in the first half alone. On top of that, the Bulls have a number of their starters missing for this one, which they just don’t have the depth to cover. Simply put, if the Nuggets play anywhere near their best this one could get ugly.
Denver Nuggets -7.5 Handicap – $1.90 at Bet365
