It was a tough pill to swallow on Monday as the Trail Blazers and Nets went to overtime where the Blazers would eventually fail to cover the spread. It was definitely a roller coast play, but one that finished on a low note for us and our followers. As we always do, though, we’ll bounce back quickly with a quality day from the Tuesday slate, which features 10 all important games. Check out our best play below and good luck to everyone following!
NBA Tuesday March 26th
Los Angeles Clippers @ Minnesota Timberwolves (6pm ET)
Our best bet from the 10 games scheduled for Tuesday’s NBA slate comes from the all Western Conference affair that sees the Los Angeles Clippers travel to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. This game is set for tip-off just after 6pm (Eastern Time) at the Target Center in Minnesota.
Last time they met
These teams have met twice this season, with each time hosting once and taking care of home court advantage. The last time they met was on February 11th at the Target Center in Minnesota, which ended up being a great win 10 point win (130-120) for the home side. Karl-Anthony Towns top scored for the home team with 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds, while Lou Williams poured in 45 points for the Clippers in a big individual effort.
Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers come into this game as one of the most in form teams in the entire competition. They won their most recent game which came on Sunday against the Knicks, cruising to an 11 point victory (124-113). That win was their fifth in a row and 10th from their last 11 games, which is currently the best mark of any team in the NBA over that stretch. The Clippers recent form has propelled them into sixth place in the Western Conference standings, with a chance to climb even higher with a win here.
Pictured below is how the playoff picture currently looks in the Western Conference.
The Timberwolves are one of many teams that had their playoff aspirations come to an end some time ago. It’s been yet another season of underachieving for such a talented young roster, led by one of the most gifted guys in the league in Towns. The T-Wolves come into this game off a 13 point win against the Grizzlies last time out, but had lost five consecutive games prior to that.
We’re surprised to see the Clippers only come into this as two point favourites despite the contrasting form of the T-Wolves. The Clippers have been undervalued by bookies all season long and it seems this is just another example of that. We fully expect them to extend their winning streak to six on Tuesday with a triumph over the injury-riddle Timberwolves.
