NBA Tuesday Betting Picks

Sacramento Kings at New Orleans Pelicans

Smoothie King Center, 8pm (ET)
The Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Pelicans will do battle on Tuesday night in what’s an important game in terms of the makeup of the Western Conference.
The Kings lost one of their worst games of the season last time out when going down at home to the Spurs and will be looking to bounce back ASAP. However, motivation levels and intensity might not be as high as perhaps they were earlier in the season considering they’re all but locked into the #3 seed in the Western Conference standings.
Meanwhile, the Pelicans are in must-win mode and will be desperate to tick over the win column again on Tuesday. They’ve been in arguably their best form of the season over the past couple of weeks, and come into this won having won seven of their last eight games. The Pelicans are now a legitimate chance of leapfrogging a few teams and clinching a playoffs berth.
Although the Kings have had a better overall season, the Pelicans are the form team in this matchup and I also suspect they’ll be the more desperate outfit. They defeated the Kings in their only matchup at the Smoothie King Center this season and I believe another win is on the cards for the home side.

Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls

United Center, 8pm (ET)
A pair of Eastern Conference rivals will face each other in one of the many games on the slate. The Chicago Bulls will do the honors and host the Atlanta Hawks in a pivotal clash.
The Hawks pulled off a clutch overtime win against the Mavericks last start to bounce back from a poor loss against the Nets. They’ve done a decent job of resetting after losses this season, but the fact that they haven’t won more than two games in a row since January is a legitimate concern. The Hawks will have to do it the hard way and navigate their way through the Play-In Tournament if they’re to feature in the post-season.
The Bulls are finding their best form right in time to make a decent push in the Play-In Tournament and potentially the playoffs. They’ve won nine of their last 13 games and that’s seen them put plenty of distance between themselves and the #11 seeded Wizards. Pat Beverley has been a fantastic addition to the squad and has helped the Bulls tremendously on the defensive end.
The Bulls are in far better form compared to the Hawks and they also have had the wood over them lately. They’ve defeated the Hawks in five of their last six games at the United Center and it’s tough to see the Hawks bucking the trend on current form. The Bulls should be winning and covering the spread in this one.
