Three game slate in the NBA this Tuesday, the 29th of November and as always, we have you covered with a preview for the key games below.
NBA Sunday Picks
Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks
American Airlines Centre, 7.30pm (ET)
The first game of the TNT double-header sees the Warriors travelling to Dallas to take on the Mavericks from 7.30pm. It’s a battle of two teams that have grosly underachieved throughout the early parts of the season, but the Warriors come into the game in better form on the back of three straight wins.
Golden State has climbed into the top eight in the Western Conference with the winning streak, which has largely been possible due to the MVP level play from Steph Curry. The star point guard is averaging 31.4 points and 7.1 assists this season, leading the league in win shares and box plus/minus.
The Mavs have lost four straight games and have failed to cover the spread in all of those losses. They are 9-10 on the season and were beaten by the Bucks on the road by 9 points on Sunday. They are back at home Tuesday though, where they are 8-3 straight up on the season. I think they bounce back here and record a win to get them back on track.
L.A. Clippers at Portland Trailblazers
Moda Center at the Rose Quarter, 10.00pm (ET)
The late game in the TNT double header sees the Blazers hosting the Clippers from 10pm. The two teams are evenly matched this season, having both recorded 9 wins so far and seperated by just one place in the Western Conference standings. The Blazers will be looking to bounce back from a loss to the Nets by 14 points on Sunday night.
The Clippers snapped a two game losing streak with a 14 point win over the Pacers on Sunday. The game was highlighted by a monster game from center Ivaca Zubac, who recorded 31 points and a mammoth 29 rebounds in the win.
Depsite coming into the game in slightly better form, the Clippers start as 3.5 point underdogs on the road. Both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are out of the Clippers line-up for Tuesday night, so I have to side with the Blazers, who are a league best 13-7 against the spread this season.
