Janibek Alimkhanuly vs. Steven Butler

This fight between Janibek Alimkhanuly and Steven Butler will take place this Saturday in the Stockton Arena, Stockton, California.

Both fighters are of the same height. Despite being of the same height, Butler has about a 3 inch reach advantage over Alimkhanuly. Butler also has a 8 cm ape index advantage over Alimkhanuly.

Alimkhanuly is coming into this fight with an undefeated record of 13-0 (8 KOs). His last fight was about 6 months ago in a decision victory over Denzel Bently. Butler comes in with a record of 32-3-1 (26 KOs). He beat Joshua Conley via unanimous decision close to 5 months ago. So activity for both and ring rust should not be an issue. This to me is a pretty close fight. I favor Janibek to win. The odds have Janibek to win at -3000 while Butler is +1300. While I think he will, I believe that’s a high number. I favor the Kazack fighter over the Canadian more like 60-40. Those are not 60-40 odds. I think he wins in the later rounds.

Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio

This contest is for the vacant WBO bantamweight championship of the world. This fight will appear on the undercard of Janibek Alimkhanuly and Steven Butler’s clash for the WBO World Middleweight championship.

Jason Moloney steps into the ring with a record of 25 wins, 2 loses and 0 draws, 19 of those wins coming by the way of knock out.Vincent Astrolabio will make his way to the ring with a record of 18 wins, 3 loses and 0 draws, with 13 of those wins by knock out.

Moloney has a slight advantage in power over Astrolabio, with a 76% knock out percentage over Astrolabio’s 72%. Moloney has beaten 4 of his last 5 opponents, stopping 1 of them, going the distance 3 times. In his last fight, he beat Nawaphon Kaikanha by unanimous decision.  Astrolabio is on a 6 feet win streak that includes a win over Guillermo Rigondeaux.

Odds are -130 for Maloney to win while Astrolabio is +100. I think Astrolabio is a live underdog here and to me has the experience to give Moloney some problems. I am leaning the underdog here.
