NBA Picks – Monday, November 25th
OKC Thunder @ Golden State Warriors
Chase Center, 10:30pm ET
Our best pick from the huge 11-game slate on Monday night comes from the late game between OKC Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. Action is set to kick off at 10:30pm Eastern Time from the new State of the Art Chase Center.
The Thunder come into this with a pretty disappointing 5-10 record that has them sitting in third last spot in the Western Conference standings, although they have had a really tough schedule. Their last seven games have comes against the Lakers x2, Clippers, 76ers, Pacers and Bucks, which are teams that are all expected to feature heavily in the postseason. The Thunder still have some great pieces with the likes of Chris Paul, SGA, Danilo Gallinari and Steven Adams and are still a chance to push for a playoff spot if they can get on a roll.
The Warriors have had a tremendous fall from grace and are now have the outright worst record in the league. They’ve been absolutely plagued by injuries and bad luck, which has resulted in just three wins from 17 games thus far. Although it’s been a very poor season in terms of win/loss, the Warriors would be pleased with the play of rookie Eric Paschall, who currently averages 16.8 points per game on 49.5% shooting.
We’ve opposed the Warriors plenty of times already this season and we will be doing it once again on Monday night. They’re currently 7-9-1 ATS on the season and while that’s not horrible, they come up against the Thunder who are 10-5-0 ATS and who will be desperate to end their current three-game losing streak. The Warriors may be at home for this clash, but the new Chase Center has been nothing like the fortress that Oracle was in years past. We expect the Thunder to win this one very comfortably.
Best Pick: OKC Thunder -5.5 (-110 BetRivers)
Charlotte Hornets @ Miami Heat
American Airlines Arena, 7:30pm ET
Our next best bet of the day comes from an Eastern Conference matchup between the Charlotte Hornets and the Miami Heat. Both clubs have exceeded expectations thus far this campaign. For the Hornets, their 6-11 record is far better than anyone could’ve imagined given the lack of talent and experience on their roster. And for the Heat, they’re currently 11-4 on the season and look to be a genuine contender in the weaker East. The Heat may be coming off a big loss last time out to the 76ers, but we’re keen to back them in to bounce back in a big way. Now back on their home deck where they’re 6-0 on the season, they should be far, far too good for the Hornets. Heat have won by 15+ points in 5/6 home outings so far and won the other by nine points. Expect them to win by 20+ here.
Next Best: Miami Heat -10.5 (-110 DraftKings)
