The Pelicans are coming off a two game slide and have won just three of their last 10 games to fall to 10th in the Western Conference. They now sit level on wins with both the Thunder in 11th and Blazers in 12th, while the Jazz are just another helf game back. They will need to bounce back in a big way over the closing weeks of the season if they are to hold onto a spot in the play-in tournamnet.

The Mavericks captured a win over the Jazz in their last clash to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Suns. They sit in 5th place in the Western Conference but are just four wins behind 2nd place, so a strong last quarter of the season could see them earn home court advantage in the first round.

The Mavericks have been one of the worst teams against the spread in the NBA this season at 24-39-2 and 12-20 away from home. Luckily for them, the Pelicans have been nearly as bad against the spread this season. I thought this line would be a little higher than just two points in favour of the Mavs, who are fully healthy at the moment. Back them to cover the spread here.

The 2nd game of hte ESPN double header will see the LA Clippers hosting the Raptors from 10pm. The home side has won just three of their last 10 games to fall to 8th place in the Western Conference, but will be coming off a solid win over the Grizzlies on Sunday night. Paul George put up 42 points in the win while Kawhi Leonard added 34 of his own.

The Raptors sit in 9th place in the Eatern Conference, having won six of their last 10 games. They are a perfect 33-33 against the spread this season, but have struggled on the road at just 12-20 straight up and 14-19 against the spread.

The Clippers start as 3.5 point favourites at home and I like them at that line. They are a much better side with their two stars in the line-up and after being hindered by injury and rest throughout the early parts of the season, the two have now played 7 of the last 8 games together. Back them to cover the spread at home.
