Seven games in the NBA this Wednesday night, headlined by a fantastic ESPN double header with the Cavs hosting the 76ers followed by the Clippers taking on the Warriors. Check out our preview and betting tips for the key games of the night below.
NBA Wednesday Picks
Philadelphia 76ers at Cleveland Cavaliers
Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, 7:30pm (ET)
The 76ers have won their last 5 games on the spin, jumping to 3rd place in the Eastern Conference trailing the Celtics by just 1 game. They have won seven of their last 10 and have been really solid against the spread this season, going 39-18-1.
The Cavs have won their last two in a row to put a bit of a gap between them and the Knicks in the battle for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. They were too good for the Hornets on Tuesday night, winning by 16 points on the back of a 26 point game from star forward Evan Mobley.
The 76ers start as slight 1.5 point favourites on the road but I’m leaning the other way in this one. The Cavs are 22-12-1 against the spread at home this season and have no injury concerns at the moment. Their defensive tandem in the paint is more than capable of handling Joel Embiid. I think they get the job done here.
Golden State Warriors at L.A. Clippers
Crypto.com Arena, 10.00pm (ET)
The Warriors have won two on the trot and seven of their last 10 to propel themselves back into contention for a top four spot in the Western Conference. They currently sit just one game behind the Suns in fourth place and they are tied with their Wednesday night opponents in the Clippers.
The Clippers went through a rough patch post All-Star break but have bounced back to win their last three games in a row. They were too good for the Knicks at home on Saturday night on the back of a 38 point game from star guard/forward Kawhi Leonard.
The Clippers start as 3 point favourites at home and you have to like them at that line given the Warriors abysmal record on the road this season. Golden State are 7-26 straight up and 9-23-1 against the spread when away from home this season.
