NBA Sunday 12th February Picks, Predictions and Best Bets

Just the two game early slate this Sunday in the NBA as a curtain raiser to the Super Bowl! We have you covered with a preview and picks for both games below.

The Celtics have won their last three games on the spin despite missing key players through injury and really look like the best team in the league at the moment. They added extra depth at the trade deadline with the acquisition of Mike Muscala, and now have without doubt the deepest bench in the league.

The Grizzlies have bounced back from a horror run to win their last two in a row. They sit in 2nd place in the Western Conference but will need to keep the foot on the gas as they currently sit just four wins above the 9th placed Timberwolves.

The Celtics start as 4 point favourites at home and you have to like them at that line. The Celtics are 20-7 at home this season while the Grizzlies have struggled on the road, maintaining just a 11-16 record straight up and a 9-18 record against the spread away from home.

Detroit Pistons at Toronto Raptors

Not the most thrilling matchup to lead us into the Super Bowl as the 11th placed Raptors take on the 14th placed Pistons in an Eastern Conference clash.

The Raptors are still within striking distance of the playoffs, so they have much more on the line than the Pistons, who are in full tank mode as they try to win the coveted No.1 draft pick. Toronto has won six of their last 10 games and have a near full strength squad at the moment, with O.G. Anunoby the only notable absence.

They start as strong 10 point favourites here, which seems about right at home against this Pistons team, but I’m leaning more towards the overs here. These two teams are a combined 60-51-3 in favour of the over this season and the Pistons are the 2nd worst team in the league defensively, allowing 119-8 points per game.
